Thursday March 4th - Town Mountain

Here is the band that occupies the common ground between traditional bluegrass, outlaw country, and pure old time mountain music. A group that harnesses the frantic energy of the modern punk string band, yet still remains respectfully rooted in the tradition of Bill Monroe. LuckyGirl’s 5 STAR pick and a Prescription Bluegrass Radio favorite.
Thursday March 11th - The Blue Canyon Boys
Doors 6pm / Show 7pm - $10 at the Door
Winners of the 2008 Telluride Bluegrass festival band contest, the Blue Canyon Boys offer a unique style of Colorado Bluegrass steeped in tradition with enough excursions to keep all types of music lovers tapping their feet. Heroes of Acapella harmony, traditionalist will savor the sound.
Wednesday March 24th - Chatham County Line
Doors 6pm / Show 7pm - $12 at the Door
One of the country’s hottest Americana/bluegrass/alt country bands with a strong European following, CCL performs original material fusing old-time, gather-‘round-the-microphone bluegrass with a love for John Hartford, The Band, The Jayhawks, Wilco, and traditional American-made music. Fred’s pick and 2007 Pickin’ in the Pines Favorites!
Saturday March 27th - Greensky Bluegrass
Doors 7pm / Show 8pm - $14 at the Door
Though they have been likened to ‘70s era Americana acts like The Band, Greensky would prefer not to be compared to any other bands. This five piece band plays traditional bluegrass instruments and uses them to create original songs and soundscapes that are unique and new, yet somehow feel comfortable and familiar. “Greensky Bluegrass hits timeless targets with deadly accuracy while simultaneously veering off the tired and true highway.”-Jambase.com Should be a great dance party and conclusion to a dynamite series.
